Field Service Engineer
You will help ensure our product meets high standards of reliability and safety.
In this role, you will perform on-site technical evaluations, manage the installation of our robotic systems, and identify potential improvements to ensure peak reliability and safety in clinical settings.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D engineers, product managers, and medical professionals to ensure our technology integrates seamlessly into the operating room while meeting the highest standards for patient care and regulatory compliance.

responsibilities

System Installation & Integration
Leading the physical setup and integration of robotic systems within hospital environments. -
Pre-Installation Analysis
Conducting site surveys of operating rooms, including precise measurements, technical environment analysis, and documentation. -
Technical Maintenance
Providing expert maintenance and technical support for medical robotic equipment to ensure 100% uptime. -
Electronics & Firmware
Flashing firmware, programming microprocessors, managing network configurations (IP changes, connectivity troubleshooting), and deploying software updates. -
Mechanical Precision
Performing assembly and disassembly of complex mechanical nodes using specialized tools (Torx, calipers, laser meters, etc.) while ensuring structural integrity. -
Diagnostics
Connecting, operating, and continuously improving diagnostic equipment used for system calibration. -
Documentation
Preparing comprehensive technical reports, installation protocols, and maintenance logs. -
Stakeholder Communication
Acting as the primary technical point of contact for hospital representatives and clinical staff.
Required skills
Technical education in engineering, mechatronics, robotics, automation, or a related field (bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
A strong background in both electronics and mechanics. You should be as comfortable with a soldering iron and a debugger as you are with a caliper and a screwdriver.
Understanding of microprocessor programming and network infrastructure.
A strong willingness to travel frequently across Europe for installations and support. A proactive approach to problem-solving in non-standard situations. You don’t just report problems; you find solutions.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for international communication.
