Head of Production

As a Head of Production at Sentante, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge robotic technology and real-world clinical application.

You will help ensure our product meets high standards of reliability and safety.

About the role

This leader will define the long-term production strategy, build operational capabilities for rapid growth, and ensure our production organization consistently delivers on quality, cost, safety, and innovation. The Head of Production will drive cross-functional alignment, elevate operational maturity, and ensure that production processes for both product categories evolve to meet future technology, regulatory, and market demands.

Key
responsibilities

  • Strategic Production Leadership

    Define and execute the integrated production strategy for robotics and disposables, aligning with business objectives, product roadmap, and expected scaling needs. Lead capacity planning, facility expansion decisions, and equipment investment strategies for diverse production lines.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Innovation

    Introduce advanced manufacturing methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, SMED, etc.) to increase throughput and reduce cost-to-serve. Drive automation initiatives across assembly, testing, traceability, and packaging to support scalable and repeatable operations.
  • Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration

    Serve as the production voice in strategic discussions with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Executive leadership. Support the introduction of new technologies and product variants through structured ramp-up plans and cross-functional readiness.
  • Leadership & Organizational Development

    Lead and develop production managers, supervisors, and technical specialists across both manufacturing domains. Implement workforce planning, training programs, and competency development tailored to specialized production areas (robotics assembly, electronics, cleanroom assembly).
  • Culture & Discipline

    Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, cross-team collaboration, and operational discipline. Establish succession planning and leadership development to support long-term organizational scalability.

Required skills

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Operations Management, or a related field. English proficiency, written and verbal.

Experience

7+ years of experience in production or operations leadership, ideally with exposure to robotics, electromechanical systems, or medical/regulated disposables.

Strategic Thinking & Manufacturing

Proven track record in strategic planning, industrialization, and scaling complex manufacturing operations. Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and advanced process improvement methodologies. Proficiency with ERP systems and digital manufacturing tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, assembly, cleanroom, test, planning). Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
