R&D Testing Engineer

As a Testing Engineer at Sentante, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge robotic technology and real-world clinical application.

About the role

In this role, you will test and evaluate our robotic system, identify and document issues, and help ensure our products meet high standards of reliability and safety.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams — comprising engineers, product managers, and medical professionals — to ensure that our technology meets the highest standards for patient care while aligning with regulatory and clinical guidelines.

Key
responsibilities

  • System Testing & Validation

    Execute functional and performance tests on robotic systems following test plans or procedures.
  • Operational Testing & Behavior Verification

    Operate the robotic system in different modes to verify correct behavior and identify bugs or inconsistencies.
  • Test Documentation & Issue Tracking

    Record test results, system logs, and issues in structured documentation (e.g., reports, Jira tickets, or spreadsheets).
  • System Analysis & Functional Documentation

    Ability to understand how the robotic system operates by analyzing its software code, perform tests based on this understanding, and document system behavior using functional or operational diagrams.
  • Issue Reproduction & Debug Support

    Support the development team by reproducing and isolating issues found during testing.
  • Regulatory & Quality Documentation Support

    Assist in preparing and maintaining technical documentation and test records to support regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Design & Validation Review Participation

    Participate in design and validation reviews, providing feedback from testing.
  • Test Process & Tool Improvement

    Contribute to improving test methods and tools as you gain experience.

Required skills

Education

Technical education in engineering, mechatronics, robotics, automation, or a related field (bachelor’s degree or equivalent).

Experience

Basic programming skills (e.g., C/C++, or similar), with interest in using code for testing, data analysis, or documentation.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or control system fundamentals.

Interest in Robotics & Learning Mindset

Interest in robotics and willingness to learn system testing and validation.
Careful, structured, and methodical approach to work.

Language

Good communication and documentation skills in English.
